The short version: Judging Scores does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers – because we don't have servers the app talks to. Contest data stays in a file on your iPhone, card scanning happens entirely on-device, and we only receive an email address if you choose to email us directly.

Introduction

Who we are

Radiant Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our") develops Judging Scores, an iPhone app for tabulating livestock judging contests. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not collect, and how information you voluntarily send us (for example, by email) is handled.

Information We Collect

Data the app itself collects: none

Judging Scores does not collect analytics, usage data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or crash reports. The app contains no analytics or tracking software development kits (SDKs) of any kind.

Contest data you create in the app – contestant rosters, class results, and scanned card values, etc. – is stored in a database file on your iPhone. This data is never transmitted to Radiant Software LLC or to any third party. It stays on your device unless you choose to move it yourself (for example, by sharing the file with another device via the Files app, or exporting results with a Pro unlock).

Card scanning

When you scan a judging card, the app reads the handwritten values using on-device image processing. Card photos and the data extracted from them are never uploaded to a server – scanning works with your iPhone in airplane mode.

Information you provide directly

If you email us at support@judgingscores.com, we receive your email address and whatever else you include in that message. We use this only to respond to you.

In-App Purchases

The Pro unlock is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Your payment is handled entirely by Apple – Radiant Software LLC does not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not this one.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share any information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Since the app doesn't send us contest data in the first place, there is nothing of that kind to share. The only information we ever hold is what you send us directly by email, and we use it solely to support you.

Cookies and Tracking

The app does not use cookies, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not track you across apps or websites operated by other companies.

This website (judgingscores.com) is static and does not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking scripts. Like virtually all web servers, our hosting server automatically logs standard request information (such as IP address, browser type, and requested page) for security and troubleshooting purposes. These server logs are not used to track individuals, are not linked to any other data we hold, and are not shared with third parties.

Data Security

Because contest data lives only on your iPhone, its security is governed by iOS's standard device protections (passcode, encryption at rest, etc.). We recommend keeping your device passcode-protected, particularly if you'll be handling contest rosters with contestant names. Email correspondence with our support address is protected using reasonable security measures, but no method of electronic transmission is ever 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Judging Scores is intended for contest organizers, coaches, and tabulators – not for use directly by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contestant rosters entered into the app by an organizer (which may include minors' names, as is common in 4-H and FFA contests) stay local to that organizer's device and are never transmitted to us.

Your Choices

Because we don't hold contest data or usage data on our end, there's typically nothing for us to delete or export on your behalf beyond correspondence you've sent us. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app or removing a contest from within it. If you'd like us to delete an email exchange you've had with support, contact us and we'll take care of it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note the change on this page.
